About BOGA
Boga Films is a young production company of award winning directors, Cristina Bocchialini and Ayman El Gazwy. Together they have several years experience producing, directing, and shooting documentary and feature films across the globe. Boga Films is currently based in Los Angeles, California.

Ayman and Cristina's multicultural perspectives combine together to form a unique and surprising style of directing. Boga Film's distinctive visual story-telling techniques challenge viewers to change they way they think and act. They create an intimate film language by moving the camera around the films protagonist. Boga Films endeavors to tell stories from around the world that move a viewer's soul and mind.

In 2010 Boga Films directed, produced and wrote an Al Jazeera feature documentary film, THE CURSE OF THE SANDS. The film is an in-depth portrait about the victims of land mines in Egypt, left over from the carnage of World War 2. The film premiered at the Al Jazeera film festival. It received top awards at the Mediterraneo festival in Italy, received accolades in California and at the Al Jazeera film festival in Qatar. It has been screened worldwide in some of the farthest film festivals including Korea.

Cristina and Ayman were recently chosen as co-directors for the Life in a Day project, a historic cinematic experiment to document a single day on earth. Their footage was chosen from over 80,000 submissions and was found to be 'some of the most compelling and brilliant." LIFE IN A DAY is a new film from Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald and Ridley Scott. The movie will premier at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2011, and will be streaming live on YouTube.

Currently, Boga Films is directing BOYS FOR RENT, a dramatic feature film about male prostitution. They are also directing the documentary film, CAIRO 24, about a city that never sleeps.
